We are upgrading our Davidson, Saskatchewan location by expanding rail and storage capacity.
Customers have been encouraging Cargill to better service their needs and in response we have decided to expand our Davidson, SK facility by increasing rail capacity and upgrading the facility. It’s all part of our commitment to serving our customers and making sure you can get in and out of our facility as quickly as possible to make your farm even more productive. Our investment enables the Davidson area producers to ship their grain in 100 car unit trains, which has quickly evolved as the standard for performance and efficiency in the Canadian Grain Handling System.
· The grain storage capacity will increase from 14,800 metric tonnes to a total of 25,200 metric tonnes
· Our grain rail car handling will grow in capacity from 50 to 100 cars
· We will also be upgrading our shipping and receiving legs and adding a brand new platform scale, a new bulkweigher and new high speed conveyors
While construction is occurring we will continue with business as usual aside from a two month blackout period where we will work with customers to have grain delivered to our Moose Jaw, Clavet or Rosetown locations. During this time we will ensure that this transition is as seamless for our customers. During construction customers will be able to access the Cargill facility in a safe manner.
